Remind me, what is BNCII?

BNCII is a project that aims to identify, support, and promote artistic innovation and risk-taking to develop relevant voices within our region and connect them with presenters and audiences on Nordic and European scales.

Each of our members will host an info session that brings attention to questions of innovative creation processes in the Nordics and Baltics, circusnext as a European platform that promotes upcoming and innovative artists, as well as the further activities and support for artists planned within the BNCII project.

The info sessions are hosted in Latvia, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania and Sweden. The format of each info session differs based on the expertise of the hosting members. See below the timing, format and content of each of them. All events hosted in English.

BETWEEN IDEA, FORM AND CONTENT: HOW TO PREPARE AN APPLICATION

Workshop by Thiago Souza

This workshop explores how to develop compelling artistic dossiers and project applications, using the circusnext open call as a practical case study. Through a series of hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to interpret an open call, build meaningful constellations of references, structure a strong project proposal, and translate artistic ideas into clear, coherent, and compelling applications and pitches.

The workshop will be led by Thiago Souza – artist, circusnext Laureate 2023, and member of the circusnext artistic jury.
