On October 5-6th the Baltic professional showcase EPICIRQ will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. The showcase is presenting Baltic professional contemporary circus with the aim of increasing interest, exposure and export of the field within the region and in international level. After the pilot of an Estonian showcase in 2018, EPICIRQ has decided to spread across Baltic states, widening the programme and strengthening the unique identity of Baltic contemporary circus.
During two days, the programme presents 6 performances, 2 discussions on the regional situation and circus critics, a short acts programme during after party and a non-curated extra programme of local artists.Â
During the week before, on September 30th to October 4th there are workshops held by Finnish circus artist and choreographer Iiro Näkki for performance art professionals. More info and registration at epicirq.com/workshops. The extra programme of EPICIRQ starts on October 3rd and lasts until October 8th.
For all registered international and local presenters, circus researchers, writers and field professionals (apart from artists) the main programme is free of charge with the aim of increasing export, visibility and booking possibilities of the performances. Registrations are open until the 4th of October.
