During the project “Baltic circus on the road”, a catalogue of Baltic circus artists and their performances has been released.
We hope this catalogue is a valuable tool for the international circus community, offering open access to a curated selection of tour-ready performances and work-in-progress performances from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
By gathering these artists in one place, the catalogue increases the visibility of a rapidly developing region and makes it easier for programmers and producers to discover new talent and include Baltic works in their programmes. It supports the integration of the Baltic scene into the wider European touring network, strengthening international collaboration and exchange. For artists, it opens doors to residencies, festivals, and new audiences; for the community, it provides a shared resource that reflects the identity, diversity, and creative potential of the contemporary circus in the Baltics.
The catalogue has been created in close collaboration between Rīgas cirks (Latvia), Arts Printing House and Teatronas (Lithuania), and the Estonian Contemporary Circus Development Center and most of the Baltic Circus Artists, and kindly distributed with the support of international partners and the BNCN.
The “Baltic circus on the road” catalogue has been created with the support of the Baltic Culture Fund.
