ree

Our members Teatronas are holding their yearly festival Cirkuliacija and invite circus professionals to join for Pro days during the festival! November 13–15th in Vilnius, Cirkuliacija festival invites cultural professionals, artists and contemporary circus enthusiasts to take part in the Professional Days — a program dedicated to meaningful dialogue, professional exchange, and artistic inspiration.

The professional program begins on November 13th with the panel discussion “Circus residencies in Lithuania: precedents, opportunities and challenges”. Moderated by Paulina Drėgvaite, the discussion (in Lithuanian) will bring together cultural practitioners to explore how residencies can support the dissemination and reception of contemporary circus in the regions. Drawing on existing experiences, the participants will discuss cooperation models, infrastructure needs, and the role of institutions in building a sustainable network that supports the development of circus art beyond large cities.

On November 14th, the festival continues with the open seminar “Tracing Nordic Circus Trajectories”, led by circus director and researcher Tilde Björfors, founder of Cirkus Cirkör. In this seminar, Tilde Björfors will share insights into the evolution and aesthetics of Nordic contemporary circus, discussing how artistic vision, education, and cultural policy intertwine to shape vibrant and resilient circus ecosystems. Both sessions invite participants to engage in dialogue, share perspectives, and imagine new pathways for the growth of the contemporary circus field.

Alongside the professional program, Cirkuliacija invites you to experience the diversity of Lithuanian and international contemporary circus. On November 13th, audiences will see “How a Spiral Works” by “Art for Rainy Days” (Lithuania/Latvia) and “Armour” by Arno Ferrera& Gilles Polet from Belgium. On November 14th, the stage will host “Dear Pressure” by Kanta Company and the premiere of Teatronas - “Šarūnas”. The Vilnius program concludes with “Play Dead” by People Watching (Canada), offering audiences a glimpse into the global language of contemporary circus. The Vilnius events form the central chapter of Cirkuliacija 2025, while the festival continues to travel across Lithuania from October 30th to November 16th, bringing circus art to diverse communities and spaces.

Join us for conversation, collaboration, and artistic discovery — and take part in shaping the future of contemporary circus together.
