Second Meeting Of Nordic and Baltic Circus Alliances!

Last week, on the 11th and 12th of May, we met in Cirkus Cirkör for our second meeting of the Nordic and Baltic Circus Alliances project. This time, we focused on circus dreams. Hosted by Cirkus Cirkör and Cirkuscentrum, we spent 2 days dreaming big and dreaming small, dreaming critical and dreaming with care.

This time, we were supported by the company Media Evolution, whose lecture and guidance helped us learn more about futurology practices. We tried out multiple Collaborative Foresight methods - marking semaphors of our future dreams, discussing the dynamics of past, present and future, dreaming about the Nordic and Baltic circus in 2036 and 2076 and others.

The Module 3 - circus alliances - will happen this August, in Odense (Denmark), where we will put together our realities with our dreams, and build strategies for the future. At the end of the project, we will publish a more extensive overview of our discussions and thoughts, so stay tuned if you are interested!

And during our meeting, we had the luck to visit the first residency for the show Rage by Rage Project, which was hosted in Subtopia!

Nordic and Baltic Circus Alliances is a project which focuses on organisational development of the circus industry in this region. Sustainability and care are not only buzzwords in this project, but the central focus. The questions, such as - What are the realities in this industry? What are our dreams? What are our possible futures? Can we actively influence these flows on time? - are on the table this time.
